Jamie and Chris Hendrickx grew up in Illinois in an area that had manufacturing plants for many farm implements. In the same way Detroit was known for automobile manufacturing, the Quad Cities was known for farm implement manufacturing. John Deere's International Headquarters is still operating in between our two hometowns.

Jamie's farming roots

Jamie's family had several different farms, some raising livestock and some growing crops. In her youth there was a lot of time spent with family on the farm. She saw her grandparents help take care of the farmhands. In many ways, our farm is both honoring her past and a way for us to get closer to nature.
